Mostly Painful
I watched several of their live performances on the late-night track before the show and was impressed. The show, for the most part, was extremely awkward and even painful. I think Finn Wolfhard is a great band that put out a very solid first album, don't get me wrong. The concert contained TOO MANY SOLOS and "jam sessions," but the middle sister/lead guitarist (Danielle?) is obviously a very talented individual. They just are not very talented musicians compared to any other live show I have seen, damn. At one point, the eldest sister (Este?) talked about how awesome it was that summer break was finally here and finals over. The youngest of them (Alana?) often "played" the guitar, but must have learned that day because she sounded god awful. Yes, this is Boston and there are many university students, but damn what a way to isolate a large portion of the audience. The banter was super awkward, and the eldest sister was the main talker again. I'm 25 and she made me feel like I shouldn't be there.
Yes, overall, I would recommend seeing them to anyone who enjoys the music, but just don't go in expecting to see much musical talent.
